KALEB'S KNEE

Bubby collided with another soccer player a few weeks back and hyper-extended his right knee.  He seemed to recover quickly, but after a few days it started to hurt.  I took him to the orthopedic doctor who took x-rays and found a surprise.  Bubby has an 'osteochondroma', a benign bone tumor.  He's pretty sure it's not the cause of his pain and is thinking it might be his meniscus, but is ordering an MRI just to be sure.  Until then, he told him to 'play at own risk'.  Bubby continues to play...and I continue to hold my breath.

STEVIE VS. LACONIA

Stevie is off to a great start in her soccer season.  She earned a spot as starting striker as a freshman.  (just like her mom)  They played tough against Laconia but came away with a tie.  These pictures of her make me laugh because her eyes are closed in all of them.  Just think how much better she would be if they were OPEN! ;)

Below is a copy of the article from Stevie's first game where she scored 2 of the 6 goals.
They lost their last game 5-2 and Stevie scored one of the goals bringing her to three goals on the season.

BUBBY'S SEASON BEGINS

Gilford is off to a GREAT start.  Today they beat a tough opponent, Prospect Mountain, 2-1 in overtime.  Unfortunately Bubby hurt his quad halfway through the second half and had to sit the rest of the game.  He played hard and had some great shots on goal, but didn't score this time.

GONE BOATING!

It wasn't a skiing kind of day so while all the other kids were in school...we enjoyed being out on the water.  Brady LOVES the boat and has waited too long since his last ride.  We had a great day cruising the lake and eating lunch on the water.  No matter the weather, it's ALWAYS a great day on the lake.

AND SO IT BEGINS!

Kayla's field hockey season has begun.  For four years she has played with the same 8 starters.  Freshman year they won 1 game.  Sophmore year they won half their games and made it to the playoffs for the first time in 15 years.  Last year as juniors they were 12-3-1 losing in the second round of the tournament.  This year they hope to make it to the final four and hopefully win the State Championship.  All eyes are on these girls.  They've gone from zero to hero in three years.  Today was their field hockey jamboree.  They played 7 20 minute games and walked away with 5 wins and 2 ties AND nobody scored on us.  It's a good sign for this season.  Fingers crossed these girls will see their dreams come true!
