STAKE YOUTH DANCE

The kids all headed south to Concord for their "Super Saturday".  It was all about being missionaries and the kids each got an official call to a mission.  They had a great time and ended their night with a dance.  This was Stevie's first dance, as she turned 14 last month.  From what I was told, there were no shortage of young men asking her to dance. ;)

SELF DEFENSE CLASS

One of the perks of living with a police officer is being able to sneak into a 'self defense seminar'.  Stevie loves any any time with her dad that she can get, so she willing jumped at the chance when he offered this class to her.  She was a rock star!

UP DO'S

For one of our YW activities...we had a lady from the ward who is a hair dresser come in and talk to us about the care and management of hair and then as a treat, she gave the girls some fancy "up do's".  I loved how fast and simple Kayla's was...and what a blessing it is that she has all those natural curls.  Stevie is lucky to have such thick hair with natural highlights.  I'm grateful that my girls love and appreciate what Heavenly Father has given them.

ALL-STATES

In case you were wondering....THIS is what your lips look like when you've been playing your trombone for 12 hours straight. Stevie was chosen for chorus AND band All-States but you can only choose one.  She chose band.  The select kids from 7th and 8th grade get to spend a whole day together learning from a top notch band/choir professional, practicing three different numbers and then performing them that night.  It was a great experience for Stevie and she had a lot of fun learning and meeting new kids.
